Shirley Ann (Sanderson) Byrne, formerly of Lexington, the beloved wife of Robert E. Byrne and a retired waitress of +20 years from the Colonial Inn quietly passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024. She was 89 years young, had a heart of gold, travelled the world and loved playing bridge weekly with her closest friends.

Born in Boston, Mrs. Byrne was educated in the Boston School system and actively participated in political and community activities throughout her lifetime.

Shirley is survived by daughters, Patricia Ebbs and Deborah Dapkas, her son Joseph Byrne, and grandsons Shaun and Patrick Dapkas.

A private service will be held followed by burial in Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
