Sheilia Jean (Krause) Speidel of Bedford passed away June 28, 2019 after a short illness, complicated by dementia. She was 85. Sheilia was the beloved daughter of the late Richard F. and Catherine (Sheedy) Krause of Massillon, OH, where her father ran the Enterprise Aluminum Company. In 1955, Sheilia graduated from Mount Union College in Alliance, OH, and married Thomas O.P. Speidel, her husband of 60 years. She taught primary school for several years in Malden and San Diego, CA. A Bedford resident for 54 years, she volunteered as a CCD teacher for St. Michael's Church and was active in the Bedford Arts and Crafts Society. She loved painting in acrylics and watercolors; Bedford's Job Lane House was a frequent subject. She was a devoted mother to Thomas of Bedford, Maria and her husband Michael LaBash of Studio City, CA, and John of Bedford; loving grandmother to Ian LaBash, Jane LaBash, Nolan Speidel, and Eliza Speidel. She was predeceased by her husband and her brother, Richard W. Krause. Calling hours in Shawsheen Funeral Home on Monday, July 8, 2019 from 5pm to 8pm.
