Obituary

Scott Anthony Driscoll, age 51, of Lowell, Massachusetts, passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, June 25, 2026.

Born on November 20, 1974, at Emerson Hospital in Concord, Massachusetts, Scott was the younger son (his brother Sean the older) of Charles A. Driscoll of Bedford and the late Paula A. Andrews.

Scott spent his early childhood in Bedford before moving to Carlisle with his mother, brother, and stepfather at the age of three. He later lived in Chelmsford and eventually settled in Lowell. Though he called several places home over the years, Carlisle always remained especially dear to him and was a place he fondly remembered.

Scott embraced life with enthusiasm and a sense of adventure. An avid motorcyclist and skydiver, he loved the thrill of pushing boundaries. Gifted mechanically and technically, he even built his first motorcycle himself using salvaged parts and mail-order components.

Throughout his career, Scott worked for several research and development companies before joining DCS Corp., where his intelligence and technical skills were highly valued. Eventually, he pursued what became his true passion: tree work. Combining his love of the outdoors with an unmatched work ethic, he built a successful side business clearing trees and forests, finding both fulfillment and success in the work he loved.

Family meant everything to Scott. He especially cherished time spent with his niece and nephews, who adored their fun-loving uncle. Though he never married, he also formed a close bond with two young girls through a past relationship, loving and supporting them as daughters and speaking of them often with great affection.

The defining characteristic of Scott's life was his unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. After coming to faith in 1996, he devoted himself to sharing the hope of the Gospel with others. His faith deeply influenced those around him, including helping lead his brother Sean back to a renewed relationship with Christ. Scott worshiped and served in several churches over the years, including Pepperell Christian Fellowship, Grace Church in Hudson, Grace Chapel in Lexington, New Generation Church in Dedham and Community Congregational Church in Billerica. He sought not only to speak about his faith but to live it through generosity, compassion, prayer, encouragement, and service to others.

Scott found great joy in God's creation. Whether hiking the conservation trails of Carlisle, visiting the Quabbin Reservoir in western MA, attending retreats at Saranac Village Young Life Camp in upstate NY, or traveling/camping with his church family, he treasured both the beauty of nature and the fellowship of friends.

In later years, Scott struggled with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (also known as Idiopathic Environmental Intolerance). As his condition progressively worsened, it affected nearly every aspect of his daily life and ultimately contributed to his passing.

Scott's absence leaves a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. Yet those who share his faith rejoice in the assurance that he is now at peace in the presence of his Savior, Jesus Christ.

Scott was predeceased by his mother, Paula Anne Andrews; his cousins Shane Little and Alan Hann Jr.; his uncles David and Richard Little; his aunt Patricia (Little) Hann; his uncle Robert ("little Bobby") Little; his uncle James Ogg, and other beloved family members.

He is survived by his father Charles Anthony Driscoll; his brother Sean Charles Driscoll; his niece Samantha Driscoll; his grand-niece Melody Driscoll; his nephews, Timothy Driscoll and John Driscoll; his aunt Sharon Driscoll; his uncle Brian and Aunt Michelle Driscoll; his aunts, Joan (Little) Ogg, Jean (Little) Raffaelo, Donna Little and Judith (McCabe) Little; his uncle Alan Hann Sr.: his beloved daughters-in-spirit Liliya (Shakhray) Wilson and Tatyana Shakhray; and many cousins, other relatives and dear friends.

Visiting hours will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, in Shawsheen Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Malachi's Message (www.malachismessage.org/give-today), or another charity of your choosing.
