Obituary

Kenneth Patrick Lord, of Salem, MA, passed away on Saturday, October 19th in his home. He was 55 years old.

He was born in Worcester, MA on July 12, 1969 to Linda Genetti Lord of Carlisle, MA and Cary Clayton Lord of Satsuma, FL. Kenny grew up in Waltham, where he was always involved in sports. He particularly loved baseball and football. Kenny excelled at every sport, especially as a running back when he played Waltham Pop Warner Football. When he was in 9th grade, he moved to Bedford and attended Bedford High School, where he played hockey and football. After school, Kenny worked at Jordan Marsh, where he met and began dating Melissa Hoff. Together in 1995, they welcomed their daughter, Bobbi Leigh Lord. Later in life, Kenny moved to Revere, MA, where he eventually met and fell in love with Jennie Hardy and her three children — Kassie, Kelsey, and Matt. Together in 2009, they welcomed their daughter, Ava Lynn Lord.

Kenny was an incredibly hard-working man, and he took pride in helping out his friends and family whenever they were in need. In his free time, Kenny enjoyed spending time with his family — whether it was baking with his daughters or attending their sporting events, visiting his mother to make sure she was taken care of, watching sports with his sister Dorie, or taking the beloved family dog, Puck, on walks through the Cranberry Bogs. Kenny's motto was always "Family First," a saying he had proudly tattooed on him.

Along with his parents, he is survived by his daughter Bobbi Leigh Lord of Eureka, CA, his daughter Ava Lynn Lord, who is lovingly cared for by her Uncle John Hardy and Aunt Teresa Hardy of Hyannis, MA; his older sister Donna Genetti Winiewicz and her husband Tony of Orlando, FL, his younger brother Cary Lord and his wife Claire of Nashua, NH, and his "baby" sister Dorie Lord of Acton, MA (or "Little Lulu" as he lovingly called her).

Services will be held in Shawsheen Funeral Home on November 10th from 11 a.m. to 2p.m., with a celebration of life to follow immediately afterward in American Legion Post #221, 357 The Great Rd. Bedford, MA. Family and friends invited.
