Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathleen (Kathy) Anne Grey, 80, of Bedford, MA on July 13, 2025. Kathy is survived by her husband of 56 years, Peter Grey; her three children, Holly, Ethan and Hannah; her brother George Iszlai and 6 grandchildren, all between the ages of 8 – 11.

Kathy was a resident of Bedford, MA for 52 years. She and her husband were extremely active in town activities, from running the Bedford Santa program for several years, involvement in multiple town committees and most notably, forming and then managing the Bedford Community Food Table for 29 years! Kathy was always selfless with her time. It was in her nature to give to others before she focused on herself - as a full-time mother (which her two daughters can attest to that being one of the hardest jobs there is!), taking care of others via her volunteer work at the food pantry or "being the eyes" for her adoring husband Peter given he is visually impaired.

Kathy was passionate about a variety of charitable causes. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kathy's honor to Doctors Without Borders (https://give.doctorswithoutborders.org/) or Southern Poverty Law at (https://secure.splcenter.org/page/64745/donate/1).

The family invites friends to join them as they celebrate the life of Kathleen (Kathy) Grey. The event will be held at The Old Town Hall (16 South Road) in Bedford, MA on September 13, 2025 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm. The event will begin with an opportunity for anyone that would like to share their memories to speak, followed by light bites and beverages.
