John (Jack) F. Costello, Jr, age 78, of Billerica and formerly of Sudbury, died suddenly Sunday afternoon November 25, 2018 at Lahey Medical Center in Burlington. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late John F. Costello, Sr and Rose M. (Lynch) Costello. Jack was a graduate of Everett Vocational High School and proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1963. He then spent two years with the Peace Corps in Iran. Upon returning, he worked for the New England Telephone Company for more than 40 years before retiring. Jack loved to travel throughout the country including the Dakotas and especially enjoyed vacationing in Florida and Beaver Island, MI. He is survived by his loving, long-time companion Eileen Larkin of Lynnfield; his children, Samantha and Gary Breden of IL and Christopher Costello of Worcester; his sisters, Bernice Clemente and Elaine Bishop, both of Middleton; his four granddaughters, Zoe Brooks and Morgan, Delaney, and Madisen Breden; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Richard Costello. A funeral service was held in Shawsheen Funeral Home on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 10 AM.
