Joanne C. Gordon of Burlington passed away on April 3, 2021 after a battle with Brain Cancer. Joanne was born on August 18, 1962 to Joseph J. Proulx and Anne C. Proulx in Warwick, RI. Joanne is survived by her mother Connie, husband Barrie, and her two sons, Mark and Joseph. She is also survived by three sisters: Dolores and her husband Steve, Cathy and her husband Bruce, and Diane and her husband Dave, as well as two nieces, a nephew, 2 grand nephews, and a grand niece. There are many words of how to describe Joanne, but that would turn this obituary into a novel. She loved everyone she came into contact with and always made people feel special. She was such a selfless person that she even had a closet full of toys just to give out to her work children. The world is a little less bright without Joanne in it, but we all know she has touched our hearts and lives. Visiting hours will be held in Shawsheen Funeral Home on Sunday, April 11, 2021 3 to 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Veronica Parish - St. Malachys Church, 99 Bedford Street, Burlington, MA 01803 on Monday, April 12, 2021 at 10am. Family and friends are invited. Please wear a mask and social distance. St. Veronica Parish requires Mass attendees to provide name and phone number upon arrival to enable contact tracing. Burial to follow in Pine Have Cemetery, 84 Bedford Street, Burlington, MA 01803. In lieu of flowers, a donation to The American Brain Tumor Association, 8550 W.
