Hugh David Simmons, of Seabrook, NH and formerly of Bedford, died on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. He was the beloved husband of the late Joanne R. (Farinato) Simmons. Loving father of Debbie See and her late husband Billy of Bedford, David Simmons of N. Billerica, Dianne Foy and her husband Earl of Bedford, Dale Simmons and his wife April of E. Waterboro, ME and Darlene Simmons of Bedford. Loving grandfather of Melanie See-Raposa and her husband Jason, Jonathan See and his wife Dawn, Shannon Faulkner and her husband David, Stephanie Simmons and her husband Andy, Kimberly Simmons, Brenden Foy and his wife Claudia, Lindsay Foy, Kylie Foy, Mariah Simmons, Joanne Simmons, Dale Simmons, and Thomas Sands. Loving great-grandfather of Isabella, Olivia, Lily, Savannah, Nataliah, Aaliyah, Madison, James, Riley, Noah, and Ella the Peanut. Brother of Margie and her husband Foxie and Grace and her husband Edmond. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his beloved dog Tigger. Hugh was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam War. He loved his chair and remote, meteorology, and living by the ocean. Burial with full military honors was in Shawsheen Cemetery in Bedford.
