Gerald G. "Jerry" Hartmann of Bedford died on July 19, 2023. He was the beloved husband of the late Darlene F. (Peterson). Loving father of Scott A. Hartmann of Bedford. He is also survived by grandson Philip Hartmann of Quincy and great-granddaughter Mia of Quincy.

Jerry was bon on August 31, 1936 in Minneapolis, MN. He served the U.S. Air Force for 20 years, retiring as a Tech Sergeant. He then worked as a dental lab technician.

Jerry was past Legion Commander of American Legion Post #221 and loyal volunteer and advocate. He was also active with the VFW and with the town of Bedford, planning the Memorial Day and Veterans Day ceremonies. He volunteered at the E.N. Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford.

Committal Service with full military honors in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne MA on Wednesday July 26, 2023 at 1:30pm. Family and friends are invited.
