Frances M. Durkin, age 81, resident of Bedford, MA since 1967, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Harold W. Durkin (deceased) and longtime companion of William J. Flaherty (deceased) of Burlington, MA.

Mrs. Durkin grew up in Lexington and was the daughter of the late Grace V. White and Raymond L. White, and step sister to Barbara Fiske, Raymond L. White, Jr., and Phyliss Mottla. She graduated from Lexington High School, Chandler School for Women and Business and continued her education at Northeastern University. She worked at Massachusetts Hospital Association for twenty years as a Data Specialist.

She is survived by her three children, Harold W. Durkin, Julianne D. Ohotnicky and husband John, and Michael E. Durkin and wife Wendy. She was the loving grandmother to Sam and Anna Ohotnicky, Jade and Kyle Durkin, and Ashley Durkin.

Visiting Hours will be June 27, 2025 at 8:30am in Shawsheen Funeral Home. The funeral procession leaves from the funeral home at 9:30 AM for a 10am Funeral Mass in St. Malachy's Church on Bedford Street, Burlington, MA. Private interment in Shawsheen Cemetery in Bedford, MA.
