Elaine Rose (Di Pirro) Warren of Somerville, age 74, passed away suddenly on April 2, 2021. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Charles Warren, her daughter Karen Warren with partner Gregory, her son Robert Warren with wife Jennifer, and her 3 grandchildren: Nicky, Westley, and Barbara. Born in Somerville on July 18, 1946, she was the devoted daughter to the late Nicholas and late Rose Di Pirro, and a beloved sister to James Di Pirro and his wife, Kathleen. Elaine loved family very much and especially adored her grandchildren. She truly enjoyed going out to restaurants with her family, baking, traveling, and going to the Senior Center, where she made many friends. A talented crafter, Elaine loved to share her crocheting, knitting, and other creative projects with everyone she could. She would often be seen sitting on her front porch with Chuck, talking with her neighbors, while making baby sweaters and blankets for her family and friends. And she never forgot our 4-legged friends either, invariably keeping dog treats on hand for passersby out for their walks. Elaine was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She had a kind and generous spirit that touched so many lives and she will be forever missed. Visiting Hours will be held in Shawsheen Funeral Home on Thursday April 8, 2021 from 4-6pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 9, 2021 in St. Catherine of Genoa Parish, 185 Summer Street, Somerville, MA at 11:30am. Family and friends are invited. Please wear a mask and social distance. The church requires a name and telephone number upon arrival to enable contact tracing.
