Obituary

Dianne Marie (Milligan) DiNitto, age 72, passed away peacefully Friday, January 7, 2022 after an incredibly brave fight against COVID-19. She was born April 12, 1949 to the late Alfred and Mary Milligan. She married the love of her life, Edward DiNitto, in 1970 who proceeded her in death in 2017. They were both lifelong residents of Bedford, graduating in the class of 1967. She was pinned as a nurse, but spent most of her career working as a buyer for Eastman Kodak and later as the Special Education coordinator for the Bedford school system. Dianne loved to love on people. She loved her family and showed it in everything she did. She hosted countless holidays, from St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving to Christmas, nothing made her happier than having her entire family together. She loved spending time with her siblings, anything to do with York, but most of all, she was a devoted Mother, Auntie Di and her favorite role, Mimi. Dianne is survived by her son Eddy DiNitto of Bedford and his children Summer and Anthony and her daughter Jenne and her husband Bob Misner of Townsend and their children Lyndon, Nick, Joey and Gillian. She is also survived by her brothers, John and his wife Cathie Milligan of York, ME; Al Milligan (and the late Mare) of Braintree; Jimmy and his wife Joyce Milligan of Tyngsboro and her sister and best friend Cathy Franks of Nashua. Other survivors include her brother and sister-in-laws, Jim and Kathy DiNitto and Bob and Lucy DiNitto, twelve nieces and nephews and ten great- nieces and nephews and a few bonus kids that may have called her Auntie Di, but knew she was so much more. She is also survived by her very best friends, Sandi and Jim Foster, Nancy and Gerry Landry and June Razzaboni. She had countless cousins, aunts and uncles, and friends that meant the world to her. Due to the risk of COVID-19, burial in Shawsheen Cemetery was private. There will be a celebration of life this spring. Because of Dianne's love for kids, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lavi project at https://www.laviproject.org or Bedford Dollars for Scholars at http://www.bedfordma.dollarsforscholars.org/
