Charles R. "Chuck" Mahar Jr. of Bedford died on January 5, 2022. Chuck was born and raised in Cambridge and graduated from Lowell Tech with a degree in Chemistry and Lesley College with a degree in Business. Chuck worked for Polaroid for 40 years before creating a consulting company, Enviro Corporation. He coached his sons' baseball teams for Bedford Recreation, was a Scout Master, and was involved with their hockey teams. Chuck loved trap and skeet shooting and cowboy action shooting. He was president of multiple gun clubs and taught a MP2 gun safety course. He was the loving husband of Patricia (Welch) Mahar for over 53 years. Beloved father of Charles R. Mahar III and his wife Tracie of Wells, ME and Craig Mahar of Bedford. Loving grandfather of Chelsea Doten and her husband Patrick of Portland, ME and Charles R. Mahar IV of Wells, ME. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Louis H. Mahar. Visiting Hours will be held in Shawsheen Funeral Home on Monday, January 17, 2022 4-7pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Michael's Church, 90 Concord Rd., Bedford on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 10am. Family and friends invited.
