Algert J. Jonuskis, born in Stoughton, MA May 4, 1933, passed away on April 12, 2026 in his home in Bedford. He is survived by his son John Jonuskis, daughter Diane Jonuskis, and grandson Ryan Jonuskis. He is now with his wife, the late Frances Jonuskis, in Heaven; she passed away July 14, 2024. He was also pre-deceased by his daughter Jo Ann Jonuskis and his son David Jonuskis.

He joined the US Air Force after high school, serving from 1951 to 1956 in England, Japan and Korea as a photo-reconnaissance expert. He also played baseball for the Air Force and was a valued asset in that capacity. He then returned to marry his fiancée Frances on Valentine’s Day.

He graduated from Northeastern University and became a computer engineer for MIT Lincoln Laboratory as well as the Federal Aviation Administration until retiring in 1994. He has lived in Bedford since 1965.

He was dedicated to his family, enjoyed many years golfing and loved animals. His sense of humor was his best quality and was a fantastic joke teller and great storyteller. His stories and jokes are still in the thoughts of his many friends, coworkers, neighbors and acquaintances.
