Alfred F. "Fred" McLaughlin died on Friday, July 3, 2020. He was born October 4, 1960, son of the late Alfred L. McLaughlin and Mary Jane (Walker) McLaughlin, formerly of Bedford. Freddie grew up in Bedford, attending Bedford High School and playing football, hockey, and baseball before graduating in 1979. He attended Norwich University and Northeastern University. He made his home in Methuen and worked in the Construction Industry all his life as a Carpenter. He later resided in the southeastern Massachusetts area. He was an avid sports enthusiast and always enjoy an aggressive competition, whether a pickup game of basketball or a few hands poker. He never backed down from a challenge, big or small. The biggest thing in Fred's heart were all five of his children. Fred is survived by five children; ex-wife Eileen (Daley) McLaughlin; brother Michael P. McLaughlin and his wife Leeanne; brother-in-law Gary Ackerman; a niece, Shannon McLaughlin; nephews, Garrett Ackerman, Patrick McLaughlin, and Joseph McLaughlin; aunts, cousins, many friends and acquaintances. Fred was the brother of the late Janine M. McLaughlin - Ackerman. Family and friends gathered for a Graveside Service on Monday, July 13, 2020 in Shawsheen Cemetery, Bedford.
